Zoning Examiner Special Exception Land Use Permit for upgrade and expansion of existing 46kV substation. The substation expansion will be completed in three phases to allow circuits to remain in use during construction. Phase 1: TEP will construct a new wall around the adjacent vacant parcel and demolish the existing east wall of the existing substation. Phase 2: Construction of new 46kV transformer, switchgear, and associated substation facilities on the previously vacant parcel. Phase 3: remove old/existing transformer substation facilities, upgrade the grounding grid, and install a second new 46kV transformer, switchgear, and associated substation facilities.
