| 09/17/2026 | Engineering Project Managers - Standard | REQUIRES RESUBMIT | Plan documents shall be prepared and procedures followed as outlined in the 'City of Tucson Public Utility Administrative Manual', and as discussed in coordination meeting with MMR/SWPower. The City of Tucson Public Utility Administrative Manual can be found at: https://www.tucsonaz.gov/Departments/Transportation-Mobility/DTM-Engineering Plan elements as discussed to include but not limited to: Show plan and profile along fiber alignment. Profile to show exist/future grade (see section 9.2 and 9.2.2 COT Utility Manual plan and profile requirements) Future Silverbell project grade elements include constructed roadside channels, culverts (show crossing at the fiber alignment location), drainage outlets including concrete headwalls/riprap outlet aprons properly scaled to show true bottom grades, future road/driveway curb/pavement, slopes, etc.. Verify any exist/future conflicts or grade issues at hand hole locations. Plan and profile to also show all existing/future utility infrastructure. Indicate ownership, show correct depth and scale with clearances to proposed fiber work. Utilities shall contact neighboring utilities affected for depth, clearance and location per COT Utility Manual. Any conflicts to be resolved prior to resubmitting to DTM for Review. Plans to show/indicate dimensions and width of working areas, including directional bore machine equipment and laydown areas sized and shown for proposed drilling and receiving locations including size of drill pits if utilized. Archeological review and monitoring will be required for this project. Project cannot proceed without permit from SHPO and approval by City of Tucson Historic Preservation Office. Plans and work shall conform to any requirement of approval/permit. Verify plans match install method, alignments, and depths as approved by SHPO/COTHPO. SHPO permit document - report as approved shall be provided to DTM. Plans and work shall conform to any requirements for Native Plant Preservation, approval required by DTM Landscape Architect. Remove or cross-out with 'NOT A PART' any reference or details on plans for direct plow method. Please provide updated schedule reflecting all work to be completed by beginning November 2026 as to not conflict with Silverbell Road Project. Contractor shall verify if any NPDES permits are necessary. Work shall follow best management practices for housekeeping. Applicant to verify with DTM Floodplain for any floodplain or scour requirements. As discussed, applicant shall provide resident notification prior to construction. Traffic control plans shall be updated to reflect any revisions to construction plans as needed. Please feel free to contact DTM with any questions. |
