Fire New Construction | REVIEW COMPLETED
Historic | REVIEW COMPLETED | The Special Exception request is specifically for relief from undergrounding the crossing of the 36th St and Kino Pkwy intersection, nothing to do with the siting of the lines. Pursuant to UDC 4.9.11.A.13 for Transmission Lines within a Gateway Corridor Zone, criteria listed in UDC 3.4.5 and 4.9.11.A.13 only apply to relief from the undergrounding requirements of the Gateway Corridor Zone as Kino Pkwy is a designated Gateway Major Route per the Major Streets & Routes (MS&R) Plan. The 36th/Kino Pkwy intersection is not within a designated Historic Preservation Overlay Zone (HPZ), so no historic preservationj review will be required. Any questions, please send an email to PDSDHistoric@tucsonaz.gov.

Site Zoning | REVIEW COMPLETED | FROM: Loran Shamis; Principal Planner PROJECT: TP-ENT-1024-00024 Address: 1740 E 36th St Parcel(s): N/A - Right of way Zoning: PAD-15, The Bridges Proposal: Overhead Transmission Line crossing Gateway Corridor of Kino Parkway COMMENT: 4.9.11.A.13.a – This standard is applicable - demonstrate how this standard is being met. COMMENT: 4.9.11.A.13.g – Demonstrate how standard is met. Clarifying the potential customers does not demonstrate how “electrical service to critical customers where overhead lines are strongly recommended for specialized operations” is being met. COMMENT: 4.9.11.A.13.h – TEP provides service to all customers in the region. Citing poverty standards for Tucson residents, only, is not accurate. Provide more applicable information. |
