E4.1 PARTIAL ELECTRICAL POWER - FIRST FLOOR PLAN:
1. Need to provide interior lighting a minimum level ie stumble lighting, emergency lighting, and exit signage.
Response: This submittal is for a “Cold Dark Shell”. The requested information will be provided during the Tenant Improvement process once a tenant has been identified. If the building is “shown or toured” after completion the appointments will only be in the daytime and the relights will provide the required stumble lighting
Reviewer: If a Certificate of occupancy is needed based upon an electrical permit, you need to provide the minimal level of illumination. Another alternative is to get a variance from a Tucson Code official. Electrical permit will be denied by this third-party reviewer until stumble lighting, emergency egress, and exit lighting are shown on the design.

12/07/2022 Fire New Construction REQUIRES RESUBMIT Plans shall show the following as deferred submittals:
Fire sprinkler underground plans shall be submitted to and a permit obtained from TFD
Fire sprinkler plans shall be submitted to and a permit obtained from TFD
Fire alarm plans shall be submitted to and a permit obtained from TFD
The building shall be tested for Emergency Responder Radio Coverage by PCWIN and results provided to TFD
Owner shall provide KNOX Boxes, KNOX locking FDC Caps and KNOX Gate key switches
Show the location of the fire riser rooms and F.D.C. Location
Plans shall show fire department aerial access compliant with IFC 2018, Appendix D, Section D105
Doors shall be compliant with IFC 2018, Chapter 32, Section 3206.7
Notes shall be on construction drawings stating that awning, solar shades and or canopies shall not be installed over the parking in the area designated as aerial access.

Comments:

Your building will require a fire pump and a fire pump room is required. IBC 913.2.1 Protection of fire pump rooms. Fire pumps shall be located in rooms that are separated from all other areas of the building by a 2-hour fire barriers constructed in accordance with Section 707 or 2-hour horizontal assemblies constructed in accordance with Section 711, or both.
Section D103.6.1 Roads 20 to 26 feet in width. Fire lane signs as specified in Section D103.6 shall be posted on both sides of fire apparatus access roads that are 20 to 26 feet wide (6096 to 7925 mm)
Section D105.1 Where required. Where the vertical distance between the grade plane and the highest roof surface exceeds 30 feet (9144 mm), approved aerial fire apparatus access roads shall be provided. For purposes of this section, the highest roof surface shall be determined by measurement to the eave of a pitched roof, the intersection of the roof to the exterior wall, or the top of parapet walls, whichever is greater.
Section D105.2 Width. Aerial fire apparatus access roads shall have a minimum unobstructed width of 26 feet (7925 mm), exclusive of shoulders, in the immediate vicinity of the building or portion thereof.
Section D105.3 Proximity to building. One or more of required access routes meeting this condition shall be located not less than 15 feet (4572 mm) and not greater than 30 feet (9144 mm) from the building and shall be positioned parallel to one entire side of the building. The side of the building on which the aerial fire apparatus access road is positioned shall be approve by the fire code official.
