Review will not proceed without the response letter. COMMENTS: Good Morning Mr. Marek J. Kasztalski and Mr. Greg Keller, RE: Special Inspection Certification/Certificate of Compliance dated July 19, 2024 Project No. 607259001 We are in the process of reviewing your Field Report for the above project. We are now on page 171 of 2,652 and we found the following: 1. Concrete Compressive Strength: We found reports where NO was selected as to whether the specified strength was met. a. An example would be Sample Date 8/2/24 where at 56th day, the strength is 3,120 psi (Specified strength is 4,000 psi). b. Below are the dates we have found so far that also failed: i. 7/8/22 ii. 7/13/22 iii. 7/14/22 iv. 7/29/22 v. 8/2/22 vi. 8/3/22 vii. 8/4/22 viii. 8/5/22 ix. 8/9/22 x. 8/10/22 xi. 8/13/22 2. There are reports that simply are blank with no concrete strength information in them. a. Below are some of the dates: i. 7/31/23 (totally blank) ii. 8/2/23 (three instances of the same report date containing only 7 day strength result) iii. 8/3/23 (totally blank) iv. 8/15/23 (three instances of the same report date containing only 7 day strength result) 3. The City of Tucson would like you to take a fresh look at the Entire report and share with us your assessment as to what direction should be taken. 4. Please coordinate and consult with the Project Structural Engineer of Record and have him/her submit a memo regarding their assessment and suggested solutions. 5. Please respond.
