PROPERTY OWNER'S NAME: State of Arizona - TUSD The applicant is authorized to use a portion of the flood hazard area in the City of Tucson, Arizona, on the property described as: MCKINLEY PARK AMENDED /L 8 BLK C/ For the purpose of erecting a new structure within a FEMA floodplain (Zone AO2). The applicant agrees to comply with City of Tucson Floodplain and Erosion Hazard Management regulations, and is particularly bound by the conditions stated below. Violation of any of the conditions stated or referred to below, as determined by the City Engineer, shall be grounds for revocation of this permit. Responsibility for renewal of this permit, if necessary, is with the applicant. Issuance of this permit does not constitute a waiver of other requirements contained in the Tucson City Code, Land Use Code, or any other Federal, State, or local regulation. No use other than as permitted herein is allowed. Additional uses allowed under City of Tucson Floodplain and Erosion Hazard Management Regulations require a new application, approval, and issuance of an additional Floodplain Use Permit. The following conditions apply to this permit (Tucson Code of Ordinances Chapter 26): 1. The lowest floor elevation and all service facilities of utilities and machinery and equipment (furnaces, hot water heaters, heat pumps, air conditioners and their associated equipment - including all electrical equipment), or an open utility platform that provide utility services for the building on the property under this permit shall be placed a minimum of 3 feet above existing grade, and shall be certified by a state of Arizona registered land surveyor. 2. The above-required certifications must be completed and returned to Development Services Department, Engineering Division, on the 1st floor of the County/City Public Works Building at 201 N. Stone Ave. Certifications must be completed and returned prior to occupancy of the structure. 3. The existing drainage patterns at the property lines shall not be obstructed. 4. Except as approved by the City Engineer prior to the start of construction, development under this permit shall not obstruct, retard or divert the existing flow of floodwaters from or to adjacent properties. 5. This permit becomes invalid and is subject to an additional floodplain permit application and review, if any proposed or required modifications change the configuration of the structure and/or site development. 6. Any structures, walls, fences or other development other than as proposed on the approved site plan (DSD activity # T03CM01876) will require a separate floodplain use permit application and approval, prior to construction. Please call Development Services Department at 791-5550 for questions. This Floodplain Use Permit will be automatically revoked and becomes invalid, if development onsite results in non-compliance with conditions set forth in this permit. This permit will expire one year from its date of issue. Renewal of this permit will require a new application, review, and approval by the City of Tucson, Development Services Department, Engineering Division.
