The office called that T.F.D. on site with an apartment fire. Arrived and the units were checking for hot spots and doing the rehab. The fire investigator was on site checking for cause. The fire units were starting clean up and sending units away from the scene. There are multiple units involved in the fire and T.E.P. was removing the electrical to 8-units. The units have no gas and the property has gas to the pool area and the water heaters. Unit #311 is a total lost. The drywall was pulled down to check for fire in the attic space and the wood trusses have very little damage. The smoke was in the attic but the fire did not get into the attic area. The electrical was removed with the other units due to the amount of fire damage. The fire started on the rear porch area and burned into the house. The drywall through out is burned or heavly smoked but appears that the wood framing is protected from the fire. The electrical outlets, switches, light fixtures are all burned. The sliding glass door and the front door are also burned with the window broken from the heat of the fire. The soffit in the front walk area is all opened to check for the fire in the attic area. The wood siding has also been remove to check for the fire in the wall to the unit. The maintenance crew will be securing the unit once the investigation is completed and the manager signed the paperwork in the office. Did have the maintenance crew posted the Do Not Enter when they install the plywood to cover the openings. RV. |
