08/11/2020 | INSP - INITIAL CODE ENFORCMENT | Approved | Met with the owner of the mobile home and the main breaker keep poping at the electrical panel by the office. The owner is stating that the breaker get hot and than pops. This was happening on hot days and the owner has AC and is staying on longer. Did go and check the panel by the office and has a Federal brand panel and the breakers are worn. Did talk to the manager Jorge and they have an electrician working on changing the panels due to the breakers keep poping on other units. Did go over on getting the permit for the work going to be done. Did do a Stop Work Order due to was building a room attached around the panels and main disconnects for the mobile home park. They were installing a AC wall unit in the room to keep the area cool due to the breakers were getting hot. There was no permit for the room being built or the electrical being done for the lights and the AC. The workers signed the paperwork and did a posting of the Stop Work Order on the wall by the door and visible from the roadway. Did talk to the manager on the room being added and they were keeping under the 200 s.f. due to was told no permit required if kept under 200 s.f.. The room is attached and has electrical and that requires the permit and inspection. The workers were leaving the site. RV. |
