Thrall follow up - Review date: 2/20/19 Zoning: C-2 (no signage conditions on rezoning case C9-17-09) DP17-0157 found for frontages 1538 E 22nd - emailed to contractor Same comments apply from first review, this is an amended review to list code varying apsects for this project under the Singular Sign Design Option (SSDO) review. Referral for SSDO: 1) Increased height request of a pole sign from 12 to 15' requires an SSDO. (7A.10.2.C.2.a.1.) 2) Premise with frontage less than 250' along 22nd Street - unclear number of tenants. To have a pole sign less at a premise with less than 250' along 22nd Street frontage requires an SSDO UDC 7A.10.2.C.2.a.3. Applicant was emailed SSDO application set 1/30/19 to begin process for at least height. Applicant was emailed updated comments for SSDO processing 2/20/19. Thrall Review date: 1/30/19 Zoning: C-2 (no signage conditions on rezoning case C9-17-09) 1) Understood this submittal is a request to process a Singular Sign Design Option (SSDO) via the SDRC process. 2) Upon completion of the SSDO process - should the SSDO be approved, engineered plans are required for sign size: IBC - exceeds 60 square feet surface area. 3) Detailed attachments are needed with the engineered plans to show construction of the sign as would be mounted from cabinet to supports and skirting, etc. 4) Note that field welding - if proposed - should be clarified on plans and will require special inspection (engineer would fill out form for such). 5) Indicate where power source is coming from, provided dedicated circuit at panel. Indicate on plans for inspections. (Check if separate electrical plan shown on building plan set that covers this already or if a new electrical permit would be required to power a freestanding sign.) 6) Increased height request of a pole sign from 12 to 15' requires an SSDO. (7A.10.2.C.2.a.1.) 7) This sign counts as two signs since it is bisecting the street corner. May need SSDO for lack of 220' feet along north lot line. Depends on number of tenants. Staff is assisting with examining development package and building plans for this overall site.
