Received call from office that T.P.D. on site with a car through building. Arrived and a truck hit a pole at one address and than drove into the Circle K. The pole was snapped into 3-section and hanging by the wires and T.E.P. was on site for the pole. The Circle K had the truck parked in front and had hit the building where the steel post was located and had a angle change for the glass. 2-section of the glass front was brokened and the glass was on the ground. The steel post has a slight bent where pushed in from the inpact. Did check the top all appears to be OK and no cracks in the drywall were found. Did loose a couple of section of the displays that were in the store where items were hanging in the displays and those were disposed. The store was going to remain opened and once the plywood is placed, the store was going to open. The area was being cleaned while on site. The manager did sign the paperwork. Did talk to the management that at time the steel post could be heated and pulled back into position and that would have to be done with a structual engineer approval. The contractor was on site and will address all the issues to check all the displays beofre placed back into position. A glass company was on site placing the plywood on the window openings. A light pole at the street was touched by the wiring and has burning on the coverplate at the bottom and the light fixtures at the top. Will check on Monday. RV. |
