09/21/2019 INSP - INITIAL CODE ENFORCMENT VIDAL Approved T.P.D. on site with min. housing condition. Arrived and the units still on site. Did meet with the tenants and was able to do an inspection. The gas meter has been pinned due to leaks in the pipe feeding the unit, the gas furnace has a dryer vent pipe on the vent pipe to the venting system, the water heater has been replaced with new and not installed properly, lacking drain line for TPR valve, Gas lacking the sediment trap, has over 6' of flex line for cold water supply, kitchen and bathroom outlets by the sink areas not GFCI protected, kitchen sink has reversed pitch drain pipe, the smoke detectors in the bedrooms are at wrong location, the windows need new rolleres, some were screwed shut and the screws were removed at the time of the inspection, open ground on grounded outlets amd may be on a 2-wire system, globes are lacking, the exterior doors not locking properly, the storage room door on the exterior is lacking a lock. The gas meter is tagged by Southwest gas. Will contact management and will check on Monday about moving to another unit. RV.
12/11/2019 INSP - FOLLOW UP CODE ENFORCE VIDAL Approved Met with the manager and the unit is still vacant and secured. They are trying to get the permit to have the gas turned back on. Did go over the items that need to be corrected to have the unit able to be rented out. The manager has new maintenance people and the unit will be checked for rent ready for the unit before being check for an inspection. Will check in 10 days. RV.
