SIERRA VISTA RESIDENCES LLC
Description:
Myself and my two kids have been sick, coughing is a constant. I rent an apartment here at Sierra Vista apartments unit #K209. A month ago while it was raining, our ceiling back to leak, it was the heavy leak which had me empty my mop bucket 5 times between start of the leak till the morning. I informed the office about the situation and was told that its too wet outside and somebody well be up on the roof in the next couple days. A couple days pass and heard nothing back. I go back and inform them a second time and explain to them the bedroom has a moisture feeling in the air and is beginning to smell. I also let them know the ceiling has water stains and they keep getting larger. They respond with ok we will write a work order.... days pass again..a week..i then go to pay rent which every part of me did not want to until it is fix because smell was so bad at this point and spent a week with family due tho this problem! While paying rent I address the issue again, along with the fact that I found a bed bug on the carpet, which without even look at my unit, they pretty much say im lying and it wasnt a bedbug! I informer them again that ive made them aware numerous time now that my unit has a leak, has severe water stain, smells like mold, ceiling has turned green and has spread from wall to wall over 10feet, and has a humid feeling inside. They repond with ok its a liitle late now but in the next couple of days.....!!! Two maintenance people ended up coming and when they saw the ceiling their jaws almost hit the floor! Since then nothing. Havent heard from them and no work has been done. My neighbors have been complaining for months, their shower has no floor its rotted all the way thru and they wont repair it. They rented a unit that knowingly had bed bugs. We need help. Thank you .

11/23/2015 | INSP - INITIAL CODE ENFORCMENT | GOODMAN | Approved | VIISTED SITE, FIRST MET WITH MANAGER LISA MARTINEZ WHO STATED SHE WAS AWARE OF THE COMPLAINTS FROM THE TENNANT IN UNIT 208, STATED THE ROOFER HAD ALREADY BEEN OUT, CLEANED THE ROOF OF ALL DEBRIS AND PATCHED WHERE THEY THOUGHT THER MIGHT BE A LEAK IN THE AREA, LISA HAD THE ROOFER ON SPEAKER PHONE EXPLAINING EXACTLY WHAT WAS DONE. THEN CALLED DAVID FROM TERMINEX WHO HAD BEEN SCHEDULED TO INSPECT THE FOLLOWING DAY 11/24. RECEIVED A FOLLOW UP CALL FROM DAVID STATING HE DID INSPECT BUT FOUND NO BEDBUGS. MY INSPECTION OF THE APARTMENT FOUND THE UNIT HAD LITTLE FURNITURE BUT WAS CLEAN, NO TRAD OR DEBRIS AROUND THE UNIT. ONLY FOUND IN THE S/W BEDROOM WHERE THE ROOF HAD LEAKED ONTO THE DROPPED ACOUSTICAL CEILING. REPAIRS ONLY CONSISTED OF REPLACING THE TILES WHICH HAD NOT YET BEEN COMPLETED. SPOKE WITH RICK SALDATE INFORMED HIM ROOFER HAD BEEN OUT AND TERMINEX COMPLETED INSPECTION BUT FOUND NO BEDBUGS. RICK AGREED A NOV WOULD NOT BE REQUIRED TO COMPLETE THE REPLACEMENT OF CEILING TILES DUE TO THE QUICK TURN AROUND OF THE OTHER 2 ISSUES. COMPLIANCE / CLOSE CASE. |
