Fire detection, alarm and extinguishing systems shall be maintained in an operative condition at all times, and shall be replaced or repaired where defective. Nonrequired fire protection systems and equipment shall be inspected, tested and maintained or removed. _____1. Service and tag all portable fire extinguishers. _____2. Hoods, grease-removal devices, fans, ducts and other appurtenances shall be cleaned at intervals necessary to prevent the accumulation of grease. Cleanings shall be recorded, and records shall state the extent, time and date of cleaning. Such records shall be maintained on the premises. _____1. 11/03/2010 VIOL - FIRE PROTECTION SYSTEMS JBURGE Correction Required IFC Section 904.11.7 All deep-fat fryers shall be installed with at least a 16 inch (406 mm) space between the fryer and surface flames of adjacent cooking appliances. Exception: 1. Where a steel or tempered glass baffle plate is installed at a minimum 8 inches (203 mm) in height between the fryer and surface flames of the adjacent cooking appliance, the requirement for a 16 inch space shall not apply. Where the fryer and the surface flames of the adjacent cooking appliance are at different horizontal planes, the minimum height of 8 inches (203 mm) shall be measured from the higher of the two. _____1. The deep fat fryer shall be separated from the open flame gas range and shall meet the separation requirements in this code.

The actuating portion of the releasing device shall extend at least one-half of the door leaf width. 2. The maximum unlatching force shall not exceed 15 pounds (67 N). Each door in a means of egress from a GroupAor E occupancy having an occupant load of 50 or more and any Group H occupancy shall not be provided with a latch or lock unless it is panic hardware or fire exit hardware. _____1.
