12/11/2008 VIOL - FLAMMABLE LIQUIDS CFUNKE Approved Section 3404.2.12.3 Existing tanks and piping. Existing underground storage tanks and piping shall be tested for leakage at the owner's or operator's expense at least every 24 months in accordance with this section. EXCEPTION: Underground storage tank systems with an approved method of detecting leaks from any component of the system. Tanks shall be emptied of flammable or combustible liquids if required tests are not completed within the specified time. When testing is required, owners or operators shall provide the fire code official with data setting forth the method of testing that is to be used and shall submit the name of a qualified individual who will conduct the test. A testing permit shall be obtained. The method of testing to be used shall consider the effects of temperature, pressure and other variables and shall establish conclusively whether the tank or piping is leaking. Pneumatic testing is prohibited. Devices used for final testing shall be capable of detecting leaks as small as 0.05 gallon per hour. Leaking piping and equipment shall not be used until repaired or replaced. The fire code official is authorized to require that the test be conducted in the code official's presence. " Please provide a copy of either the tank tightness and line leak test results or if an automatic tank gauge system is used please provide the annual calibration test report for that device and the print out showing that the system has passed its leak test. " The waste oil tank must also have a tightness test at least every 2 years.
12/11/2008 VIOL - HAZARDOUS MATERIALS,GEN CFUNKE Approved 2701.3.3.15 Emergency plan. A written emergency plan shall be developed to ensure that proper actions are taken in the event of an emergency, and the plan shall be followed if an emergency condition occurs. The process of developing and updating the plan shall involve the participation of affected employees. A written emergency plan must be developed and all employees properly how to respond to the emergency. A spill clean up kit must also be available for the containment of small spills (5 gallons or less).
12/11/2008 VIOL - MEANS OF EGRESS CFUNKE Approved 1011.5.3 Power source. Exit signs shall be illuminated at all times. To ensure continued illumination for a duration of not less than 90 minutes in case of primary power loss, the sign illumination means shall be connected to an emergency power system provided from storage batteries, unit equipment or an on-site generator. " Repair the exit sign and emergency light; both must have operational back up power.

The required fire-resistance rating of fire-resistance-rated construction (including walls, firestops, shaft enclosures, partitions, smoke barriers, floors, fire-resistive coatings and sprayed fire-resistant materials applied to structural members and fire-resistant joint systems) shall be maintained. " Replace the ceiling tile in the store room.
12/11/2008 VIOL - MOTOR FUEL DISPENSING CFUNKE Approved 2206.6.2.6 Spill containers. A spill container having a capacity of not less than 5 gallons (19 L) shall be provided for each fill connection. For tanks with a top fill connection, spill containers shall be noncombustible and shall be fixed to the tank and equipped with a manual drain valve that drains into the primary tank. " Repair the spill bucket. (under the blue lid)
12/11/2008 VIOL - MOTOR FUEL DISPENSING CFUNKE Approved 2205.2.2 Emergency shutoff valves. Automatic emergency shutoff valves required by Section 2206.7.4 shall be checked not less than once per year by manually tripping the hold-open linkage. " Provide documentation of this inspection.
12/11/2008 VIOL - MOTOR FUEL DISPENSING CFUNKE Approved 2205.5 Fire extinguishers. Approved portable fire extinguishers complying with Section 906 with a minimum rating of 2-A:20-B:C shall be provided and located such that an extinguisher is not more than 75 feet (22 860 mm) from pumps, dispensers or storage tank fill-pipe openings. " The fire extinguisher in the auto shop needs servicing and the annual inspection. It also needs to be mounted at least 4 inches off the ground. Install an additional fire extinguisher in the market area.
12/11/2008 VIOL - MOTOR FUEL DISPENSING CFUNKE Approved 2205.2 Equipment maintenance and inspection. Motor fuel-dispensing facility equipment shall be maintained in proper working order at all times. " Replace the cracked 87 octane hose on number 2 pump. There are a couple others that need to be monitored.

Leak detection devices required by Section 2206.7.7.1 shall be checked and tested at least annually in accordance with the manufacturer's specifications to ensure proper installation and operation. " Please provide documentation of test results and ensure all leak detection devices are installed as per the manufacturer.
