Approved signs required to identify fire protection equipment and equipment location, shall be constructed of durable materials, permanently installed and readily visible. _____ Place the wording "RISER ROOM" on riser room door to properly identify the fire service features location.
08/08/2008 VIOL - BUILDING SVCS & SYSTEMS JLONGO Correction Required 605.1 Abatement of electrical hazards. Identified electrical hazards shall be abated. Identified hazardous electrical conditions in permanent wiring shall be brought to the attention of the code official responsible for enforcement of the ICC Electrical Code. 08/08/2008 VIOL - FIRE PROTECTION SYSTEMS JLONGO Correction Required 901.4 Installation. Fire protection systems shall be maintained in accordance with the original installation standards for that system. Required systems shall be extended, altered, or augmented as necessary to maintain and continue protection whenever the building is altered, remodeled or added to. Alterations to fire protection systems shall be done in accordance with applicable standards. _____ Move your cooking device I.E. burners, fryer, grill to correctly line up with the hood systems's extinguishing nozzles _____ Correct the hood filters in order to avoid any open spaces and to ensure that filtering system is working properly. 901.6 Inspection, testing and maintenance. Fire detection, alarm and extinguishing systems shall be maintained in an operative condition at all times, and shall be replaced or repaired where defective. _____ The Hood extinguishing system shall be serviced or the proper paper work shall be provided to show proof that the system meets code standards _____ The automatic sprinkler system shall be serviced or the proper paper work shall be provided to show proof that the system meets code standards _____ A sprinkler head shall be dropped into the beer cooler located on the west side of the building to comply with required sprinkler coverage for the building 904.11.6.3 Cleaning. Cleanings shall be recorded, and records shall state the extent, time and date of cleaning. Such records shall be maintained on the premises. _____ The hood system in your building has been found unfit and requires a cleaning. You are to have your hood system cleaned immediately and provide the proper paper work to prove that the required cleaning has been done professionally.
08/08/2008 VIOL - MEANS OF EGRESS JLONGO Correction Required 1008.1.9 Panic and fire exit hardware. Where panic and fire exit hardware is installed… Each door in a means of egress from a Group A or E occupancy having an occupant load of 50 or more and any Group H occupancy shall not be provided with a latch or lock unless it is panic hardware or fire exit hardware. 1008.1.9 Panic and fire exit hardware. Where panic and fire exit hardware is installed, it shall comply with the following: 1. The actuating portion of the releasing device shall extend at least one-half of door leaf width. 2. The maximum unlatching force shall not exceed 15 pounds (67 N). _____ The door located in the south west corner in the lower conference room shall have its panic hardware device repaired and the thumb turn lock removed in order to comply with the fire code _____ The door located in the east passageway shall be repaired in order to meet code standards as it currently takes more then 15 pounds of force to open. 1011.5.3 Power source. Exit signs shall be illuminated at all times. To ensure continued illumination for the duration of not less than 90 minutes in case of primary power loss, the sign illumination means shall be connected to an emergency power system provided from storage batteries, unit equipment or an on-site generator. The installation of the emergency power system shall be in accordance with Section 2702 of the International Building Code _____ Fix, repair, and/or replace all exit signs in order to meet code standards (East hall, north-west door) 1027.5 Illumination emergency power. The power supply for means of egress illumination shall normally be provided by the premises' electrical supply. In the event of power supply failure, illumination shall be automatically provided from an emergency system for the following occupancies where such occupancies require two or more means of egress: all Emergency lighting shall be functional and properly maintained in conjunction with IFC section 1027. _____ Fix, repair, and/or replace the emergency lighting in order to meet code standards 1028.2 Reliability.
