Where panic and fire exit hardware is installed… Each door in a means of egress from a Group A or E occupancy having an occupant load of 50 or more and any Group H occupancy shall not be provided with a latch or lock unless it is panic hardware or fire exit hardware.

1008.1.9 Panic and fire exit hardware.
Where panic and fire exit hardware is installed, it shall comply with the following:
1. The actuating portion of the releasing device shall extend at least one-half of door leaf width.
2. The maximum unlatching force shall not exceed 15 pounds (67 N).

_____ The door located in the south west corner in the lower conference room shall have its panic hardware device repaired and the thumb turn lock removed in order to comply with the fire code

_____ The door located in the east passageway shall be repaired in order to meet code standards as it currently takes more then 15 pounds of force to open.

1011.5.3 Power source.
Exit signs shall be illuminated at all times. To ensure continued illumination for the duration of not less than 90 minutes in case of primary power loss, the sign illumination means shall be connected to an emergency power system provided from storage batteries, unit equipment or an on-site generator. The installation of the emergency power system shall be in accordance with Section 2702 of the International Building Code

1027.5 Illumination emergency power.
The power supply for means of egress illumination shall normally be provided by the premises' electrical supply. In the event of power supply failure, illumination shall be automatically provided from an emergency system for the following occupancies where such occupancies require two or more means of egress: all Emergency lighting shall be functional and properly maintained in conjunction with IFC section 1027.

1028.2 Reliability.
Required exit accesses, exits or exit discharges shall be continuously maintained free from obstructions or impediments to full instant use in the case of fire or other emergency when the areas served by such exits are occupied.

_____ Remove all the beer kegs from the east hall, or properly secure them to the wall to prevent accidental health hazards or obstructions.
