11/29/2023 COT - ENFC - Code Enforcement - Initial In Violation 310 PM - Arrived and attempted contact, knocked at front door and front window, there was no answer. Did look inside front window. The home is actively being remodeled with drywall and other construction supplies scattered throughout the home. Viewed pictures online from when home was last listed. Remodel work includes but not limited to: New recessed lighting in the living area and hallways; Gas line is disconnected in the living/kitchen area, will need a gas line reconnect/pressure test permit; New windows installed (although sizes may have remained the same); possible new electrical lines; water heater installed in bathroom; plumbing in shower area of bathroom. -VM
12/01/2023 COT - ENFC - Code Enforcement - Follow Up In Violation 147 PM - Entered home w/ contractor on site. Gas line in kitchen area is disconnected from previous appliance, may have been cut, will need pressure test/permit for reconnect. New lighting fixtures installed near front door, circuit was expanded from a previously likely non permitted fixture. Kitchen fixtures all removed. Outlets in kitchen will need to be GFCI. Portion of wall near front door has been removed to open up this area. Recessed lighting throughout entire home. Majority of visible non metallic sheathed cable appears to be existing, however did identify a new circuit in the rear bathroom (that has hole cut into the floor) dated 09/09/2022. Per contractor, the water in the bathroom is to be removed, and a new hot water supply line to this room is to be dug into and installed in the concrete footer. Advised contractor needs to apply for a residential alteration/remodel permit and submit plans for all remodel activity listed in the Initial, and this inspection. Provided a copy of NOV on site and copy mailed via US mail. -VM
