08/03/2023 COT - ENFC - Code Enforcement - Initial In Violation Went to the unit and the property maintenance workers were there working on the A/C unit. The unit had a portable A/C unit that was working and measured 76 degrees and the room measured 83 degrees. The management said they believe the A/C will be fixed by today but if not they have a A/C company scheduled for tomorrow morning at 10am. I will be waiting to allow the workers or the A/C company to fix the A/C unit. The management and the tenant confirmed that the roaches were treated on 7/16 and the follow up in 8/7 to determine if they need to treat again. I gave the tenant my contact info and asked her to contact me with a status of the A/C repair. I will follow up tomorrow morning 8/4
08/04/2023 COT - ENFC - Code Enforcement - Follow Up In Violation Portable A/C unit is not cooling the unit properly. The temperature reading in the unit is between 86. and 89 degrees. The management had a professional A/C company come by for an estimate only and have their on-site maintenance to try and fix the A/C unit and they have had no success. They don't want to pay the professional company to actually fix the unit. I spoke to company driver of Done Rite Services who told me that they give free estimates to the apartment complex all the time and the apartment complex passes the estimates to their workers to fix the problems, which in many cases they cannot fix the problem. I am issuing a notice to vacate the unit
