04/13/2023 COT - ENFC - Code Enforcement - Initial In Violation 1004 AM - Attic access in master bedroom closet is open with no cover. Tenant states rats and rodents are coming through the space into the apartment. He provided me a police report number from TPD stating an armed man entered his apartment in the middle of the night through the unsecured attic. Hole in drywall behind toilet - cover is not secure and needs to be caulked/sealed to close hole in drywall. Tenant states rodents entering apartment through this hole. Cabinet door under sink cabinet missing. Rodent droppings present in kitchen on the stove and on the kitchen counter, as well as in the pantry. Issue 30 day notice. -VM
09/14/2023 COT - ENFC - Code Enforcement - Follow Up Passed 1107 AM - Reinspected with maintenance supervisor on site. Attic access has been repaired in bedroom closet. Wall flange has been secured to wall near toilet. Cabinet under kitchen sink has been replaced. Drywall around blower motor has been repaired. No rodents or droppings observed. Violations have been abated, will close case. -VM
