STRUCTURAL REVIEW COMMENTS:

Even though this is the second submittal by the applicant, this permit review is the first review as no documents were provided earlier for the review. This review is limited to only the Fuel Canopy Structure and the Retail Store Building Structure.
FUEL ISLAND CANOPY REVIEW COMMENTS:
C1. Provide a copy of the geotech engineer's report mentioned in the Structural Notes on the Structural drawings.
C2. Provide a copy of the Structural Calculations so review for structural details as shown can be provided. Specifically provide: gravity load design calculations for the W18x50 beam on grid B spanning between grids 1 and 2; Column design located on grid B1 and B2; Foundations design for the heaviest loaded columns on grid B and the Lateral Design Load Calculations.
C3. Provide a lap length schedule for the designed concrete strength and designed steel strength.
C4. The 2018 IBC requires Continuous Special Inspections for Concrete Placement, Soil works and for Deep Foundations, this seems to be in conflict with the schedule of Special Inspections listed on drawing XC110, please either amend the Special Inspection Schedule as listed or else justify the contradiction with engineering logic/ evaluation.
RETAIL STORE BUILDING REVIEW COMMENTS:
B1. Geotech report and Structural Calculations (for both gravity loads and lateral loads) are required in order to provide a complete Structural review.
B2. Mechanical Loads located on the roof are not listed as design loads in Structural Notes.
B3. As RTU's connection to the roof framing and Mechanical Screen connection to the roof framing is an integral part of this building permit, please provide their structural analysis and design for review.
B4. Where is the detail for the lateral end bracing between end walls and the steel joists 28LH08, shown but not detailed on the roof framing plan.
B5. Seems like a lap length schedule for masonry reinforcement is provided but lap length schedule for footing rebar could not be located.

1). Equipment numbers 108, 109, 110 Smoothie, Capachino, coffee drains near restrooms need to discharge to a floor sink that is connected to the grease system. On plan pages P101, P501- IPC 1003.1
2). Update P101 Keynote #6 & P512 details H1 & H9 to indirect waste piping over 30" to be trapped. -IPC 802.3
3). Equipment numbers 106, 108 Freezoni Mach. & smoothie drains near fountain beverage center need to discharge to a floor sink connected to the grease system. The drains in that area for ice & condensate need to remain on sanitary. Update plan pages P101 , P501. -IPC 1003.1
4). All handsinks drains must directly connected & vented, Upadte plan pages P101, P202,P501. -IPC 301.3, 802.1, 901.2.1
5). Add restroom fixture sidewall to fixture center clearances along with lav faucet to faucet center to separations to plan page P201. -IPC 404.2, 405.3.1
6). Item number 548 on plan page P201 Detail J7 is missing A611 equipment schedule- IPC 106.3.1, 303
7). What is the dishwasher drain temp control method? update plan page P511 detail A5- IPC 702.5
8). Add piping material specs for sanitary, storm & above ground water to plan page P600 or provide spec manual -IPC 303, 605, 702
9). Add grease interceptor sizing calculations to plan page P510 or P600 per Tucson amendment 1003.3

2. The development package sheets provided in the building plan set, with exception of sheet C150 Utility plan, either need to be the approved stamped development package sheets, marked for reference only or removed from the building plans
