09/08/2021 | DAN SANTA CRUZ | ELECTRICAL-COMMERCIAL | REVIEW | Reqs Change | Please address the following electrical plan review comments and provide a written response. The resubmitted electrical plans contain hudreds of red colored deltas and the general notes that state “All work shown on this sheet is new under this permit unless noted otherwise”. Please show and clearly identify the work included only for the new Balcony Spas as stated in the permit application for the scope of work proposed for this permit. 2. As per the previous electrical plan review the following was requested but not provided in the electrical re-submittal; (A) "Include load calculations” for the additional spa load . The load calculations shown in this submittal are exactly the same as the original electrical plans approved by 3rd party and do not reflect the added load for the Balcony Spas. Furthermore the original loads calculated for the Studio units are tapped out at 99 amps (per the load calculations shown on plan sheet E4.04). Justify how the 100 amp rated panels will accommodate the additional load imposed by the Spa. Please clarify. NEC 220. (B) “Provide complete panel schedules”. The panel schedules do not show loads for the associated branch circuits or for the JACZZI, (the bottom of the panel schedules are blank in the blocks that state “Total load per Phase”), nor do the residetial load calculations reflect the Jacuzzi loads. NEC 220, IBC 107.2.1. (C) “Power source”The enlarged details for the units do not show the branch circuit assigned for the Spa outlet as stated per KEYED NOTE #51 on plan sheet E1.20E and E1.20W. Please clarify. NEC 408.4, IBC 107.2.1. Provide an EMERGENCY SHUT OFF switch at each spa location as directed by NEC art 680.41.
