| 01/03/2022 | ROBERT SHERRY | PLUMBING-COMMERCIAL | REVIEW | Reqs Change | 1. The drawing numbers in the sheet index are different from the numbers on the plumbing drawings and there are two drawings labeled P-2 and P-3. Coordinate the drawing numbers with the sheet index on sheet A-1. 2. Recalculate the allowable pressure loss calculation. With an allowable pressure loss for friction equal to 0.6 PSI and 225 equivalent pipe length, the pressure drop per 100 feet will be 0.27 PSI per 100 feet, not 17.96 PSI/ 100 feet. Have you considered a pressure booster system? Reference: Section 604.7, IPC 2018. 3. Where did the 60 GPM and 1.5 PSI/100 feet figures come from? Note that 60 GPM in a 1-1/2" Type M copper pipe flows at 10.5 FPS, not 4.5 FPS. The maximum water velocity in copper piping is 8 feet per second. 4. Installation of a cup dispenser along with a bottle filler as part of this activity is required unless a dual level drinking fountain is being installed. Provide specifications for the bottle filler. [Initial comment: A bottle filler is not acceptable as a substitution for a drinking fountain unless cups are available at an accessible location.] 5. Verify that the distance from the hot water source to the hot water termination for the public lavatory complies with the requirements of Section C404.5, IECC 2018. |

| 01/04/2022 | ROBERT SHERRY | MECHANICAL-COMMERCIAL | REVIEW | Reqs Change | Revise the ventilation calculation spreadsheet by entering the number of water closets in each restroom rather than the room area, as noted in the instructions. Reference: Section 107.2.1, IBC 2018. |
