09/25/2020 ROBERT SHERRY MECHANICAL-COMMERCIAL REVIEW Reqs Change 1. Provide heating and cooling load calculations to justify the heating/cooling capacities of the specified HVAC units. Reference: Section C403.1.1 and C502.2.3, IECC 2018.
2. The presence of cooking appliances (e.g. combi oven) in the kitchen requires a revision to the ventilation calculations. A cooking kitchen requires an occupancy 20 people per 1,000 square feet, 7.5 CFM per person, 0.12 CFM per square foot, and 0.7 CFM of exhaust per square foot (or 70 CFM per appliance). Reference: Section403.3.1.1 and 507.3, IMC 2018.
3. Footnote b on Table 403.3.1.1, IMC 2018 states that mechanical exhaust is required for the cooking kitchen and no air from the kitchen may be recirculated to any other space. FC-2 appears to be recirculating air from the kitchen to other rooms in the building. Reference: Section 403.2.1 (3), IMC 2018.
4. Secure the refrigerant circuit access ports of the condensing units to prevent unauthorized access. Reference: Section 1101.10, IMC 2018.

09/25/2020 ROBERT SHERRY PLUMBING-COMMERCIAL REVIEW Reqs Change 1. Show the location of the proposed grease interceptor on the site plan. Reference: Section 107.2.1, IBC 2018.
2. Indirect waste piping that has a developed length greater than 30-inches (30") when measured horizontally or greater than 54-inches (54") in total developed length shall be trapped (e.g. indirect waste piping from the corner 3-compartment sink). Detail 208 needs to be clarified and detail 212 needs to be re-titled. Exception: indirect waste piping conveying only clear-water waste (e.g. effluent from a sanitizing compartment) does not require a trap. Reference: Section 802.3, IPC 2018
09/25/2020 ROBERT SHERRY WATER REVIEW Reqs Change Show the location of the reduced pressure backflow assembly on the drawings; verify the size of the assembly (it is noted as ΒΌ" in the water pressure calculations). Reference: Chapter XXVII, Article V, Section 27-72, the Tucson Code, http://www.tucsonaz.gov/files/water/docs/backflow-ordinance.pdf.

09/29/2020 ERIC NEWCOMB BUILDING-COMMERCIAL REVIEW Reqs Change 1. Sheet A-1; Proposed Floor Plan: Shear Wall P1 is indicated on this plan. Please provide structural calculations for the shear wall design.
2. Sheet A-1; Proposed Floor Plan: The south wall of the new women's restroom does not indicate framing size or spacing. Please verify.
3. Sheet A-4; Elevations I and K: Per the ICC/ANSI Section 904, sales and service counters in accessible areas must meet minimum requirements for the height of the counter above the finish floor, and for handicap approach to the counter. Please indicate those on the Bar Elevations I, J, and K, and on the plan on Sheet A-1.
4. Sheet A-4; Accessible Restroom Plan 1: The required 60" diameter turning space does not appear to be accomplished in this space. Please verify and add dimensions on this plan (Sheet A-1 indicates 5'-6" dimension, but does not indicate the clear space between the walls). Sheet A-6 (Proposed Ceiling Framing) indicates a 4x6 wood post in that wall. Please verify the accessibility requirements are met.
5. Sheet A-5; Proposed Floor Framing Plan: Footing F3 (at the interior walls) indicates 24" wide x 12" deep continuous footing. Please indicate on the Framing Plan if the footing is continuous under that entire wall. Provide dimensions or a note as required to locate the extent of that footing.
6. General: Please provide written responses to all review comments.
