General

1. Sheet S-005 indicates that a shade canopy will be provided as part of deferred submittal. Please verify all deferred submittals are listed on the cover sheet and include the following notes:

PER IBC Section 107.3.4
<Name of Registrant>, the registered design professional in charge shall be responsible for reviewing and coordinating submittal documents prepared by others, including phased and deferred submittal items, for compatibility with the design of the building.

PER IBC Section 107.3.4.1
Submittal documents for deferred submittal items shall be submitted to the registered design professional in responsible charge, who shall review them and forward them to the Building Official with a notation indicating that the deferred submittal documents have been reviewed and that they have been found to be in general conformance with the design of the building.

2. Please verify all required special inspections and list on the cover sheet. Also, provide City of Tucson special inspection certificate(s) with Parts A and B completed. Make sure that the owner or their legal representative signs the form.

1. Note 1D indicates a temporary fence is being installed which is located very close to the building. Please verify egress from the building is not adversely affected. Additionally, please provide notes or additional drawings to show compliance with the existing egress components. Comment is typical at all similar conditions on all applicable sheets.

1. Per 2018 IBC Section 107.2.1, please place the horizontal diagonal rebars centered at the concrete slab for preventing the potential concrete slab cracks pointing inward into the interior slab at the re-entrant corners. Typical all locations.

2. Per 2018 IBC Section 107.2.1 and 2104.1, please indicate the masonry control joints on the plan.

3. Per 2018 IBC Section 107.2.1, 1604.2 and 1605.1, please provide structural calculations to design the exterior pilaster under the worst loading case, including the wind load perpendicular to the exterior wall surface.

Sheet S-107

1. Per IBC Sec. 107.2.1, 1604.2, and 1605.1, please provide structural calculations to check the punching shear effect for the concrete spread footing under the worst loading case.
