The design of the water heater piping (detail 5/P-400), with a shutoff valve located between the water heater and the expansion tank, makes it impossible for the expansion tank to accommodate the thermal expansion of the water in the water heater, as intended by Section 607.3, IPC 2018. Reference: Section 303.2, IPC 2018.
2. The McDonalds model 205S inline check valve (Chemical feed system detail, P-400) does not appear to have an ASSE listing as a backflow protection device. Provide a backflow protection device that is listed for the intended application. Reference: Sections 608.6 and 608.7, IPC 2018.
3. Provide separate indirect waste pipes for each compartment of the 3-compartment sink to protect against cross-contamination or fouling. Reference: Sections 801.2 and 802.1.1, IPC 2018.
4. Air admittance valves are not approved for use in a combination waste and vent system. Reference: Section 918.3, IPC 2018.
5. Provide a vent downstream of the gravity grease separator to protect the seal for the grease separator. Reference: Sections 303.2 and 1003.9, IPC 2018.

1. COMMENT: Zoning has reviewed the building plans for compliance with the approved development package. Zoning cannot approve the building plans until the development package has been approved. Additionally, zoning cannot approve the building plans until the PDSD Commercial Plans reviewers have approved the building plans.


2. COMMENT: Zoning will review the building plans on the next submittal as it relates to the zoning review purview and compare the building plan footprint, building height, and square footage and location to ensure consistency with the DP.

3. COMMENT: Once the plans have been reviewed and approved by PDSD Commercial Plan Reviewers and zoning has verified consistency with the DP, the building plans can be approved by zoning.
