| 07/10/2020 | ERIC NEWCOMB | BUILDING-COMMERCIAL | REVIEW | Reqs Change | 1. Please revise, and indicate the travel distances meet the requirements of the IBC Table 1017.2. 2. Previous Comment 4; Drinking Fountain (A/A-4): Per the ICC/ANSI Section 602, the drinking fountain must be a high/low for wheelchair accessibility and for standing persons (see Figure 602.5b). Please revise and indicate/call out the drinking fountain on Sheet A.2. 3. Previous Comment 5; Service Sink: Please indicate/call out the service sink on Sheet A.2. 4. General: Please provide written responses to all review comments. |
| 07/10/2020 | ROBERT SHERRY | PLUMBING-COMMERCIAL | REVIEW | Reqs Change | 1. Clarify the source of the tempered water. WH-2 is scheduled on sheet P2 but the north restroom shows WH-1 installed; the water heater for the south restroom is not labeled. Detail B/P-1 does not indicate that a point-of-use water heater is being used. [Initial comment: Show how tempered water will be provided to the lavatories.] 2. Comment not resolved. CPVC piping is not mentioned on the new drawings; PEX and Type L copper are the only water piping materials called out on the drawings. The support requirements are noted only for copper and steel pipe. [Initial comment: Note how the overhead water distribution piping will be supported.] 3. Provide the distance from the property line to the new propane storage tank. Reference: Section 107.2.1, IBC 2018. 4. Show the number, size, and placement of the bollards protecting the new propane storage tank. 5. Assuming that you have used the branch length method for determining the pipe sizes for the propane distribution (Section 402.4.2, IFGC 2018), the branches to the two unit heaters furthest to the north are under-sized. They need to be 1", not ¾". Reference: Table 402.4 (28), IFGC 2018. 6. Provide details for the installation of the unit heater vents. The details are to include the required dimensions from the heater to the exterior wall, the distance from the exterior wall to the listed terminal cap, size and slope of the vent, the type of vent pipe (i.e. single-wall or double wall), any required thimbles, and how the vent will be supported. Reference: Section 501.14, IFGC 2018. |
