10/28/2019 DAN SANTA CRUZ ELECTRICAL-COMMERCIAL REVIEW Reqs Change Please address the following electrical plan review comments. Also provide a written response.
1. What does the clouded areas with the Delta 1 represent?
2. Because this is a woodworking facility, please classify the areas about the equipment per NEC art 506.5 and include wiring methods in classified areas per NEC art 506.
3. Locate panel 'R' on the plans.
4. Correlate the branch circuits for the power and lighting with the panel schedules correctly. For example; The equipment labeled #24, on the power plan shows 480V-3 Phase Circuits 26-28-30 to panel 'P'…. Panel 'P' is a 120/208 panel and the panel schedules show 1 pole circuit breakers. Also panel 'H' schedule shows no lighting. H1 and H2 are shown with 1 circuit on the electrical floor plan and the panel schedule shows 3 pole circuit breakers… Please verify that all the branch circuits for power and lighting are correlated to the correct panels prior to re-submitting the plans for review.
5. Be more descriptive on the panel schedules for identifying the equipment or device served. NEC 408.4. During operation of the facility, the plans may not be available in the event of an emergency situation to link the number of the equipment shown on the plans to the actual equipment in the field.
6. Provide a complete panel schedule for panel ' L'.
7. Provide more information for wiring methods of the emergency lighting to provide proper operation. NEC 700.16.
8. Indicate fuse size and type for the primary feeder of the 225 KVA transformer.
9. Ref; Line Diagram Panel 'P'.
(a) The line diagram calls out a 800 amp distribution panel and the panel schedule shows a 400 amp. Please clarify.
(b) What is meant by "55KVA/152A written on the side of panel 'P'.
10. Additional comments may be generated at the subsequent review due to the changes made to these electrical plans for code compliance.
