06/04/2019 | ROBERT SHERRY | PLUMBING-COMMERCIAL | REVIEW | Reqs Change | 1. Tucson water shows a water pressure range of 41 to 48 PSI at the project address. The pressure loss calculations for the shell building (KC Mechanical, 8/10/18) are based on 48 PSI and call for a booster pump. Section 604.1, IPC 2018 allows the use of accepted engineering practice to design water distribution systems but the design must be consistent with the selected engineering practice. Revise the pressure calculations using the minimum available water pressure. Reference: Section A1.1, UPC 2012. 2. For public toilet facilities, the required lavatory shall be located in the same room as the water closet. If the unisex restroom 125 is for lab testing purposes, the water closet and lavatory cannot be counted with the required plumbing fixtures in the building code analysis. Reference: Section 405.3.2, IPC 2018. 3. Verify that the distances to the hot water termination points from the hot water source comply with the requirements of Section C404.5, IECC 2018. |
