Edit the specification to comply with the COMcheck energy requirement. Add to 08400 Aluminum Storefront that for the storefront the maximum U-value shall be 0.33 and maximum SHGC shall be 0.27; and the maximum U-value for the entry doors shall be 0.330 and maximum SHGC shall be 0.27. This information is required so that the specification matches the COMcheck descriptions. Specification 08250 Overhead Rolling Door, 2.01(A) specifies an R-value of 7.2; however the envelope COMcheck specifies a minimum R-value of 8.5 (1/U-.117). Revise specification and specify a different door if necessary to comply with COMcheck. Specification 08100 HM Doors and Frames does not appear to include insulated exterior doors. Add exterior doors to specification with a note that maximum U-value for insulated exterior steel doors shall be 0.240. This information is required so that the specification matches the COMcheck descriptions. On sheet A-1.1, text in details 1 and 3 must be minimum 3/32” high (both upper and lower case) to comply with City of Tucson standard. The U-value and SHGC shown on detail 7/A-5 are incorrect. Change U-value to 0.33 and the SHGC to 0.27. |
