04/24/2017 ERIC NEWCOMB BUILDING-COMMERCIAL REVIEW Reqs Change 1. Sheet TS1; Code Study (Area): The drawing indicates an allowable area increase of 100%. Please include the calculation on the drawing, following the IBC Section 506, indicating the allowable increase permitted.
2. Sheet TS1; Code Study (Exits): 6a references Tables 1018.1 and 1004.2.1 for the exit width required. There is no Table 1004.2.1, and Table 1018.1 is for corridor fire resistance rating. Please revise the Table references.
3. Sheet TS1; Code Study (Exits): 6a calculates the required exit width as 82 occupants x .15. Per the IBC Section 1005.3.2, a means of egress capacity factor of 0.2"/occupant should be used for this project. Please verify and revise as required.
4. Sheet TS1; Code Study (Exits): Please finish the line that indicates "82 > 49 so ? exits at 3' required.....".
5. Sheet TS1; Allowable Area Calculation Table: This table indicates no area increase for frontage. Please coordinate with the Code Study.
6. Sheet A1.0; Floor Plan: Please indicate on the drawing the shaded areas on the plan are to be one hour fire resistance rated corridors/rooms with fire partitions per the IBC Section 708 and a one hour fire resistance rated horizontal assembly per the IBC Section 711.
7. Sheet A1.0; Floor Plan: Is the existing stair enclosure (north of the training room 136) constructed per the IBC Section 1009.3.1 to provide the fire resistance rating required? Please indicate on the drawings.
8. Sheet A1.0; Floor Plan: Per the requirements of the IBC Section 1018.4, it appears the corridor 113 exceeds the limit for a dead end corridor. Please verify.
9. Sheet A1.0; Floor Plan/Mezzanine Plan: Do the existing walls and horizontal assemblies in and above the rated areas meet the fire resistance ratings as required by the IBC? Please provide existing partition and horizontal assembly notes and details as required on the drawings.
10. Sheet A1.0; Detail 3: Please provide the connection of the horizontal bracing members to the existing joists. In addition, reference the diagonal bracing size, spacing, and connections to Detail 2.
11. Sheet A1.0; Floor Plan and Mezzanine Plan: Please indicate on the drawings all (new and existing) fire partitions meet the requirements of the IBC Sections 708.4 (Continuity), 708.6 (Openings), 708.7 (Penetrations), 708.8 (Joints), and 708.9 (Ducts and Air Transfer Openings).

13. Sheet A1.0; Floor Plan: Please indicate on the drawings the glazing (existing?) in the conference room 128 and the lobby 100 are rated per the IBC Section 716.6.
