10/12/2016 | PIMA COUNTY | BUILDING-COMMERCIAL | REVIEW | Reqs Change | T16CM06535 - PLAN REVIEW COMMENTS 2 Reviewer: Christopher Anderson, October 6, 2016 BUILDING – COMMERCIAL You comment responses for items 10 and 11 say that door closers for restroom doors have been removed to comply with ICC/ANSI A117.1. They have not been removed from either the door schedule remarks or the hardware legend on Sheet D-3. At the shower room, the removal of the door closer per your response to item 12 will not bring this room in compliance with ANSI A117.1, Figure 404.2.3..2 (f). Without a closer the distance from the west wall in the accessible shower room to the obstructing jogged wall opposite the entry door must be 48” minimum. The plan indicates 3’-6”. |

10/12/2016 | PIMA COUNTY | MECHANICAL-COMMERCIAL | REVIEW | Reqs Change | BUILDING – MECHANICAL It appears that the total sensible cooling load for the proposed equipment shown on sheet M-1 (159,000 BTUH) is different than what the total sensible cooling load on sheet M-2 equipment schedule indicates (43,700 x 4 = 174,800 BTUH). Explain discrepancy. The cooling load calculations added to Sheet M-1 in response to items 2 and 3 indicate design cooling loads considerably less than those indicated for selected equipment at peak conditions. The selected equipment appear to be out of compliance with IECC C403.2.2 requiring that the output capacity of selected heating and cooling equipment not exceed the loads calculated in accordance with Section C403.2.1. Please explain how the 4 selected RTU’s comply with C403.2.2. |
