At a minimum, beverage dispensers (e.g. espresso dispenser, coffee dispenser, etc.) require the use of a backflow preventer that is listed to ASSE 1022. Reference: Section 608.16.10, IPC 2012. 4. Clarify the drain connections for the three hand sinks, K-1. Two are noted as being connected to "existing sewer" but it is not clear if they are to be connected to the sanitary waste or the grease waste. A third K-1 hand sink is identified on sheet P1 but the sink is not shown on the plumbing plan and no connections (HW, CW, or waste) are shown. 5. Note which kitchen fixtures and appliances require indirect drains and verify that an indirect waste receptor is available for them (e.g. K5, K27, K36, K37, K43, K44, and K48). 6. Verify that the discharge from the ware washer (kitchen equipment number K27) will be 140 degrees Fahrenheit or less. Reference: Section701.7, IPC 2012. |
