09/25/2014 | ROBERT SHERRY | MECHANICAL-COMMERCIAL | REVIEW | Reqs Change | Coordinate the drawings and the component descriptions on COMcheck. On the cut-sheets, only the Solatube skylight has an NFRC certification number. The data on the remainder of the drawings does not correspond to either COMcheck or the T0.0 data. [Second comment: Coordinate the building design with the component descriptions shown in Section 3 of the Envelope Compliance Certificate (e.g. the roof has R19 cavity insulation, not R-38 cavity insulation. Provide the NFRC certification data for the skylights, windows, and glass doors (see footnote (c) on Section 3 of the Envelope Compliance Certificate.] [Initial comment: Provide energy code compliance calculations for the building envelope; use the climate zone for Tucson. Provide sufficient detail on the drawings to evaluate the energy compliance of the building envelope. The information shall, as a minimum, include U-factors of the envelope systems and fenestration components, along with the R-values of the insulation and the SHGC for the fenestration. Reference: Sections C103.2 and C401.2, International Energy Conservation Code 2012.] |
09/25/2014 | ROBERT SHERRY | PLUMBING-COMMERCIAL | REVIEW | Reqs Change | Installing a backwater valve as shown on sheet P0.1 will protect the new training building and the BBQ building but what is your plan to protect the three existing buildings? The buildings appear to have been erroneously built without backwater valves, being at least 6-feet below the rim elevation of the next upstream manhole. [Second comment: Verify the flow direction for sanitary sewer branch 8578-01. According to GIS map data, the branch flows north to manhole 8578-02. If true, then manhole 8578-01, with a rim elevation of approximately 2572 feet, is the upstream manhole, not 8578-02.] [Initial comment: Provide the rim elevation of the next upstream sanitary manhole cover. Determine the need for a backwater valve per Section 715.1, IPC 2012, as amended by the City of Tucson.] |
