02/27/2014 ERIC NEWCOMB BUILDING-COMMERCIAL REVIEW Reqs Change 1. SHEET A2; KEYNOTES: NOTE 27 WAS NOT LOCATED ON THE PLAN. VERIFY.
2. SHEET A2; FLOOR PLAN (ELEVATION 3/A5.0): THE REFERENCE ON THE PLAN INDICATES A SECTION CUT, NOT AN ELEVATION. REVISE.
3. SHEET A2; FLOOR PLAN: AT THE SOUTHWEST CORNER OF THE NEW STEEL TRELLIS, AN ENLARGED PLAN IS REFERENCED AS 7/A7.0. VERIFY THIS IS CORRECT.
4. SHEET A2.2; PARTITION TYPES: A REFERENCE BELOW THE TITLE INDICATES TO 'SEE A9.0 FOR STEEL STUD PARTITION SIZE TABLE'. REVISE THE SHEET NUMBER.
5. SHEET A7; SECTION 10: PROVIDE A DETAIL OF THE VERTICAL PORTION OF THE HANDRAIL SUPPORTED IN THE CONCRETE.
6. SHEET A7; KEYNOTES: NOTE 26 WAS NOT LOCATED ON THIS SHEET. VERIFY.
7. SHEET S1.0; STRUCTURAL NOTES (STRUCTURAL STEEL): FINISH NOTE 11.
8. SHEET S3.0; FRAMING PLAN: THE HSS 6X4 STEEL TUBE JOISTS DO NOT GIVE THE WALL THICKNESS. VERIFY.
9. SHEET S3.0 (FRAMING PLAN); STRUCTURAL CALCULATIONS (SHEET 8): THE JOISTS DJ2 IN THE CALCULATIONS INDICATE A 6X4X1/8 AT 12" O.C., WHILE THE PLAN INDICATES HSS 4X2 AT 12" O.C. CLARIFY.
10. SHEET S3.0 (FRAMING PLAN); STRUCTURAL CALCULATIONS (SHEET 7): THE CALCULATIONS INDICATE A DB3, BUT NO BEAM IS CALLED OUT ON THE PLAN (C6X13). VERIFY.
11. SHEET S3.0 (FRAMING PLAN); ROOF FRAMING PLAN NOTES (NOTE 6): NOTE 6 CALLS FOR A SPECIFIC INDICATION AT THE SOLAR PANELS, BUT THE PLAN DOES NOT SHOW THEM. VERIFY.
12. SHEET S3.0 (FRAMING PLAN); STRUCTURAL CALCULATIONS (SHEET 20): THE ANGLE DESIGN (5X5X5/16) IS NOT LOCATED ON THE FRAMING PLAN. PROVIDE. IS THIS ANGLE DESIGN RELATED TO DETAIL 16/S1.2?
13. GENERAL: PROVIDE WRITTEN RESPONSES TO ALL REVIEW COMMENTS.
03/11/2014 ROBERT SHERRY WATER REVIEW Approved
03/11/2014 ROBERT SHERRY PLUMBING-COMMERCIAL REVIEW Reqs Change Clarify how the hot water return branches are to be proportionally balanced. Reference: Section 607.2, IPC 2012.
03/11/2014 LEERAY HANLY ELECTRICAL-COMMERCIAL REVIEW Approved
03/11/2014 ROBERT SHERRY MECHANICAL-COMMERCIAL REVIEW Reqs Change 1. Provide heating and cooling load calculations that justify the capacities of the heating and cooling equipment specified for the project. Reference: Sections C403.2.1 and C403.2.2, IECC 2012.
2. Show that the proposed HVAC systems meet the requirements of Sections C403.2.2, C403.2.3, C403.2, and C403.3 (e.g. provide the mechanical energy code compliance certification from COMcheck). Reference: Section C303.1, International Energy Conservation Code 2012.
3. Coordinate the support of the fan coil and energy recovery units with the structural details. Reference: Section 302.1, IMC 2012.
4. Coordinate the ventilation calculations for classroom 504 with the mechanical floor plans (i.e. where is FC-504?). Reference: Section 107.2.1, IBC 2012.
5. The science classroom (503.1) and the fabrication/assembly classroom (503) both require exhaust based on Table 403.3, IMC 2012; this exhaust is based upon the activities in the rooms and is not related to any additional exhaust mandated by Chapter 5, IMC 2012. Adequate makeup air is required to offset this exhaust but the required outside air may be used as part of the makeup air.
6. Classroom 504 is described on sheet A2 as a multi-purpose physics lab, not simply as a classroom. Provide justification for not providing ventilation commensurate with science lab occupancy. Reference: Section 403.3, IMC 2012.
7. Classroom 503.1 has two fume hoods (chemical and biological) but only the chemical fume hood is shown with an exhaust duct. Provide an exhaust duct for the biological fume hood. Reference: Section 501.3, IMC 2012.
8. Show the exhaust flow rates for the chemical and biological fume hoods. Reference: Section 501.4, IMC 2012.
9. The specified point-of-use dust collectors are grounded though the ground wire in the electrical cord. The hose or duct work used to connect the tool to the point-of-use dust collector must also be grounded. Show how the hose or duct work is to be grounded. Reference: Sections 304.1 and 511.1.1 (exception 1), IMC 2012.
