The City of Tucson Applicable Codes block on sheet M0.0 refers to the 2006 UPC with COT amendments but the Applicable Codes block on sheet G1.1 refers to the 2006 IPC with no local amendments. This review has been made using the 2006 UPC with COT amendments. 3. Revise the font size used on the drawings to a minimum of 3/32-inch (all upper case). Reference: Section 106.1.1, IBC 2006. 4. The maximum flow rates for plumbing fixtures shall be consistent with ARS Title 45, Chapter 1, Article 12, 45-313. (See text at: http://www.azleg.state.az.us/ArizonaRevisedStatutes.asp). In addition, accessible metering faucets shall remain open for a minimum of 10 seconds. Reference: Section 402.1, UPC 2006, as amended by the City of Tucson and Section 606.4, ICC/ANSI A117.1-2003. 5. Clarify the presence of water connections for the waterless urinals (as shown on sheets M8.1 and M8.1). Reference: Section 103.2.3, UPC 2006. 6. Show that the restroom floors slope toward the floor drains. Reference: Section 411.2, UPC 2006. 7. Each piece of equipment requiring backflow protection (e.g. the coffee maker and ice machine) shall be independently protected if there is the possibility of cross-contamination. Reference: Sections 602.2 and 603.0, UPC 2006, as amended by the City of Tucson. 8. Provide indirect waste piping for the discharges of the reduced pressure backflow preventers (including those located in the break rooms) to an approved indirect waste receptor. Reference: Sections 603.3.7 and 603.3.9, UPC 2006. 9. Limit the water velocity to less than 8 fps for the copper piping (5fps for hot water). Reference: Sections 610.12 and A 6.1, UPC 2006; and IAPMO IS 3-2000, Section 610.0. 10. Show the location of the two-way cleanouts (indicated on sheets M8.1 and M8.2) on the plumbing plans. Two-way cleanouts may be installed at the junction of the building drain and the building sewer but are not required if an upper terminal cleanout is installed. Reference: Sections 707.4 and 707.6, UPC 2006. 11. Revise the installation of the ice machine drains to be indirectly connected to the sanitary drain system using an air gap. Roof mounted equipment requires a maintanence receptacle per 2005 NEC 210.63. 7. Various electrical sheets indicate"provide a splice box" for rerouting feeders, provide a discription of type , mount and possible locations which can be used. 8. Provide a complete fault current analysis. 9. Provide tennant and total building load calculations. Indicate how each item was reviewed and addressed.
