This letter reflects comments to be addressed. In order to facilitate a shorter back check time, we request that you please provide revised plans and calculations, along with a written response to each of the noted items indicating action taken. SCOPE OF REVIEW: The scope of this plan review includes architectural, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and energy conservation. The purpose of this review is to verify compliance to the 2006 International Residential Code with local amendments. Other comment references may be derived from additional codes and standards adopted by The City of Tucson. All features have been checked only to the extent allowed by the submittals provided for review. All portions of this project are assumed to meet other departmental requirements, conditions, and concerns before permit approval. STRUCTURAL / FRAMING PLAN: 1. Specify 4x porch posts or multiple 2x members. 2. Specify method of connection for new ledger to existing wall. 3. Ceiling gypsum board must be either 5/8" or ½" sag resistant when applied to ceilings framed at 24" o/c, IRC table R702.3.5 footnote d 4. Sill plates that rest on concrete are required to be decay-resistant, R319.1(2). PLUMBING PLAN: 5. Provide a gas line isometric and size the supply pipe for the connected demand. Include the length of line and BTU demand for each appliance, size of each branch, total demand, and total developed length from meter to the most remote appliance on the system, UPC 1217.0 Table 12-8. ELECTRICAL PLAN: 6. Include sub-panel and feeder conductors/conduit sizes on riser diagram, E3605.5. 7. Include gas bonding method on riser diagram, E3508.
