09/28/2010 RONALD BROWN ADA REVIEW Passed
09/29/2010 MARTIN BROWN FIRE REVIEW Denied Please include the following fire sprinkler design criteria to the plans.
1. Flow data (static pressure, residual pressure, GPM)
Available from the Fire Department (520) 837-7029 or 837-7030.
2. The standard to be used in development of sprinkler system. (NFPA 13, NFPA 13R, or NFPA 13D)
3. The hazard classification of the building, including any special hazards.
4. The density required of the water supply.
Please indicate existing fire hydrant location(s), with dimensions to buildings and/or property lines. Refer to City of Tucson amendments to the 2006 International Fire Code (section 508) for spacing and location requirements.
Plans indicate existence of security gate(s). Refer to City of Tucson amendments to the 2006 International Fire Code (Sections 503.6.1 and 503.6.2) for requirements. Indicate methods of compliance on plans.
No Parking - Fire lane signs required to maintain fire access around building. Please indicate on plans.
Plans indicate a "chemical area". Please indicate types and quantities of chemicals.
It appears there is insufficient exiting. Exits on east side and south side are not 1/3 the diagonal distance apart, therefore they count as one exit. No exit signs entering production office. Please include an exiting diagram, with occupant loads and travel distances.
The break room, being enclosed, counts as a second floor. Per 2006 IFC, table 1019.2, maximum occupant load would be 30. Plans show seating for 48. Two exits would be required.
