This letter reflects comments to be addressed. In order to facilitate a shorter back check time, we request that you please provide revised plans and calculations, along with a written response to each of the noted items indicating action taken. SCOPE OF REVIEW: The scope of this plan review includes architectural, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and energy conservation. The purpose of this review is to verify compliance to the 2006 International Residential Code with local amendments. Other comment references may be derived from additional codes and standards adopted by The City of Tucson. All features have been checked only to the extent allowed by the submittals provided for review. All portions of this project are assumed to meet other departmental requirements, conditions, and concerns before permit approval. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS: 1. Provide two copies of the corrected set of drawings and one set of the first submission for reference. All corrections and revisions shall be made on original tracings or finished reproducible set. Pencil and/or white out on final prints will not be acceptable. To expedite review, please cloud the originally submitted set with red ink and limit clouding on final set. Ensure that all corrections have been made, are complete, and have been coordinated on all applicable detail and note sheets. PLUMBING PLAN: 2. Provide a water fixture unit schedule for the entire property (including existing) P2903.6. 3. Provide the maximum developed length of water line from the meter the furthest appliance served, water meter size, available pressure, and the diameter of the water service line from the meter to the building entrance, P2903.7. ELECTRICAL PLAN: 4. HVAC equipment must be valued at 100% for the load calculation, Table E3604.2(1). 5. Show receptacle outlets at wall spaces 2' or more so that no point along the wall (excluding door openings) is more than 6' from a receptacle outlet, E3801.2. 6. Size feeder and ground for proposed load of sub-panel (40% demand factor may not be applied), E3604.3. 7. Detached buildings must have a grounding electrode system, E3507.3. 8. Clarify existing service size (150 or 400 amp). INTERNATIONAL ENERGY CONSERVATION CODE: 9. Specify a "U" factor and solar heat gain coefficient of the windows and doors that meets or exceeds the requirements of N1102.1. The simplified prescribed energy value for climate zone 2B glazing and skylights is U=0.75, the default SHGC is 0.40.
