Plan review for the above referenced structure has been completed. This letter reflects comments to be addressed. In order to facilitate a shorter back check time, we request that you please provide revised plans and calculations, along with a written response to each of the noted items indicating action taken.

SCOPE OF REVIEW:
The scope of this plan review includes architectural, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and energy conservation. The purpose of this review is to verify compliance to the 2006 International Residential Code with local amendments. Other comment references may be derived from additional codes and standards adopted by The City of Tucson. All features have been checked only to the extent allowed by the submittals provided for review. All portions of this project are assumed to meet other departmental requirements, conditions, and concerns before permit approval.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:
1. Provide two copies of the corrected set of drawings (no clouds or revision numbers please) along with a set of the first submission (cloud corrections on this set please). All corrections and revisions shall be made on original tracings or finished reproducible set. Pen or pencil corrections on final prints will not be acceptable. To avoid delays, ensure that all corrections have been made, are complete, and have been coordinated on all applicable detail and note sheets.

FLOOR PLAN:
2. Specify all window sizes and operation type on floor plan. Verify laundry room windows (elevation drawings show windows on two laundry room walls).
3. Specify safety glazing in hazardous locations, R308.4. (Less than 60" above tub/shower floors)

FOUNDATION PLAN:
4. Provide a note for termite treatment, R320 as amended.

STRUCTURAL / FRAMING PLAN:
5. Specify the sizes of all headers, Table 502.5(1).

PLUMBING PLAN:
6. Provide note requiring that water hammer arrestors be installed in accordance with ASSE 1010-2004 on water lines serving appliances equipped with quick-closing valves to include but not limited to: clothes washers, dishwashers, and refrigerators, UPC 609.10.
7. Shower and tub/shower combinations that have individual control valves shall be of the pressure balance or thermostatic mixing valve type.
8. Water conservation requirements: Water closets = 1.6 gallons per flush, Sinks/ Showerheads = 3 gpm, UPC State Amend. 45-312.

MECHANICAL PLAN:
9. Show supply and return air ducts with a minimum R-8 insulation when located outside the thermal envelope, R1103.2.1.
10. Show dryer vent size and location for venting to exterior (max 25' w/bend reductions), M1502.2, M1502.6.

ELECTRICAL PLAN:
11. Bedroom outlets shall be protected with combination-type arc-fault breakers (receptacles, lights, and smoke detectors), E3802.12.
12. Show locations of smoke detectors (every sleeping room and hallways leading to). All smoke detectors must be interconnected with a power source from the building wiring, and shall be equipped with battery backup.
13. Provide electrical load calculations for determining the service panel size, E3502.2.
14. Provide an electrical riser diagram with grounding method and bonding to metallic piping, E3303, E3507. Show an underground service entrance on the Riser Diagram or complete the Underground Electrical Service Wavier form
15. Designate the circuit number for each light fixture, receptacle, appliance, and equip disconnect on the electrical layout, E3603.5.
