Reference: Section 506.5.2, IMC 2006. 2. Coordinate the structural drawings (i.e. roof framing) with the rooftop equipment proposed on the mechanical and the food service drawings; five condensing units, an A/C unit, a heat pump, and four exhaust fans are not included on the structural drawings. Provide structural calculations to verify that the existing roof is capable of supporting the additional dead load due to the installation of the roof top units. Reference: Section 302.1, IMC 2006.. 3. Comment not resolved. The structural sketch is not included in the drawing set and it allows for a maximum of 500 pounds. Section 507.6 requires the hood support to include not just the weight of the hood but also the weight of an employee cleaning the hood. Provide structural calculations and details to show that the Type I hoods (and the Type II hood) are supported from the building structure in accordance with Section 507.6, IMC 2006. Reference: Section 302.1, IMC 2006. 4. The State of Arizona enforces ASME A17.1, Safety Code for Elevators and Escalators. Verify that the specified 15 GPM for the elevator sump pump discharge will be acceptable. Coordinate SP-1 and the size of its sump with the discharge rate of SP-2. |
