Insulation is required for circulating hot water piping per Section 504.5, IECC 2006. 3. Revise the water pressure calculations to include the pressure drop due to the water softener (shown only on sheet P4.2). Reference: Section 610.2, UPC 2006. 4. | 12/03/2009 | ROBERT SHERRY | MECHANICAL-COMMERCIAL | REVIEW | Denied | 1. Provide structural calculations to verify that the existing roof is capable of supporting the additional dead load due to the installation of the roof top units AC-2, AC-3, MAU-1, and MAU-2. Reference: Section 302.1, IMC 2006. 2. Revise the size of the common condensate drain from the walk-in freezer and walk-in cooler in accordance with Section 307.2.1, IMC 2006, as amended by the City of Tucson. 3. The occupant load used to calculate the required ventilation is not necessarily the same as the occupant load used for calculating exiting requirements. The occupant load used for calculating the minimum required ventilation is to be based on Table 403.3, IMC 2003 or an approved engineering analysis of the specific occupancy type. Units AC-2 and AC-3 (aka HP-2 and HP-3) have significantly lower occupant loads than called for in Table 403.3. Reference: Section 403.3, IMC 2006. 4. Provide information regarding the three existing Type I hoods; e.g. size, listing information, and required exhaust and make-up airflow rates. Reference: Sections 106.3.1 and 507.1, IMC 2006. 5. Provide information to show that the operation of the Type I hoods and the hood exhaust fans complies with Section 507.2.1.1, IMC 2006. 6. Provide a design for the proposed Type II hood for the dishwasher. Reference: Sections 106.3.1, 506.4, 507.5, 507.7.2, and 507.13.5, IMC 2006. Reference: Section 506.3.4, IMC 2006, as amended by the City of Tucson. 8. Clarify why MAU-1 is interlocked to exhaust fans EF-1, EF-2, and EF-3 but nothing is interlocked with MAU-2. Also, why is MAU-2 not included in the Kitchen Air Balance Data chart? Reference: Sections 106.3.1 and 508.1, IMC 2006. 9. Clarify how the grease exhaust ducts are to be enclosed; provide a design for an enclosing shaft per Section 506.3.10, IMC 2006 or specify the duct wrap to be applied to the ducts. 10. Show how the terminations of the ducts from MAU-1 and MAU-2 comply with the requirements of Section 508.1.1, IMC 2006. 11.
