Note that indirect waste lines less than 5'-0" in length do not require traps, vents, or cleanouts (DTS, DW, and 2-CS). Reference: Sections 801.2.3 and 803.0, UPC 2006.
2. Provide a cleanout for the directly-connected compartments of the 3-compartment sink. Note that one of the two directly-connected compartments may be continuously wasted into the tailpiece of the other directly-connected compartment so that only one trap is required (similarly, see the 2-CS in detail 4/MP-03). Reference: Sections 707.4 and 1001.2, UPC 2006.
3. Provide cleanouts sized per Section 707.11, UPC 2006 (detail 3/MP-03).
4. Provide a vent for the floor sink located near 2-CS along with an upper terminal cleanout. Reference: Sections 707.4 and 1001.1, UPC 2006.
5. Provide structural justification for the use of a horizontal vent (i.e. a "flat vent") that does not rise vertically to a minimum of 6" above the flood rim of a fixture before it offsets horizontally (see details 1 and 2/MP-03; note that a 2" trap arm may be 5'-0" long per Table 10-1, UPC 2006). Reference: Section 905.3, UPC 2006.
6. Revise detail 2/MP-04 to eliminate the flow control device; it is not required with a gravity grease interceptor and becomes an obstruction to flow. Reference: Section 311.5, UPC 2006.
7. Revise detail 6/MP-04 to indicate how the vent is to be installed to prevent the entrance of insects and how the space between the gas pipe and the conduit is to be sealed at the building entrance. Reference: Section 1211.1.6, UPC 2006.
8. Show how the vent of the conduit for the gas pipe (detail 6/MP-04) is to be protected from physical damage. Reference: Section 1211.2.1, UPC 2006.
