I-2008-017 PROJECT REVIEWER: Richard Leigh, DOT, Permits and Codes Section RESUBMITTAL REQUIRED: Permits and Codes Section has reviewed the PIA Plan and does not recommend approval of the PIA Plan at this time. The following comments need to be addressed in the next submittal. 1. Include the plan number "I-2008-017" in title block of each sheet. 2. Include Development Services Department PIA activity number (T0800016) on cover sheet. 3. Provide a dimensioned detail of each type of curb access ramp proposed in the plan set. 4. Lighten shading used for new pavement. 5. Show and label all existing roadway infrastructures (curb, sidewalk, access ramps, etc). Use differing line weights for existing and proposed and use symbols and abbreviations per PC/COT Standard. Details. 100 and 101. 6. Show existing curb openings and indicate that any abandoned curb openings along Park Avenue will be closed. 7. Provide a cross section of the proposed pavement widening on Park Avenue. 8. Locate sidewalk closer to curb, provide a 0 to 3' setback from curb. If necessary, the sidewalk may meanderer around any obstructions. Additionally, The minimum sidewalk width along a roadway listed on the Major Streets and Routes plan is 6'. 9. Add the following general Note: The contractor shall contact and/or coordinate any work with COT Streets & Traffic Maintenance Division, Electric Shop (791-3154) prior to relocation or placement of any street lighting or traffic facilities. Typically the City requires 6 foot wide sidewalk along major arterials. Please confirm that 5 foot sidewalk will be acceptable. 3. Will there be any landscaping installed with this project? Ortiz PE, Traffic Engineer Resubmittal Required: Traffic Engineering does not recommend approval of the PIA Plan; therefore a revised PIA Plan is required for re-submittal. The following items must be revised or added to the plan. 1. Include a response letter with the next submittal that states how all comments have been addressed. 2. See redlines on the submitted drawings and address the additional redline comments. During the next submittal please re-submit the roll of redlines for back checking purposes. 3. The proposed right turn/decel lane is substandard therefore adjust the taper of the proposed right turn/decel lane to maximize queuing. See redlines for illustrations. 4. Install street names with the proposed R1-1 (Stop Sign) at the proposed roadway entering this development off of Alvernon Way per PCDOT & TDOT Signing Manual (2002) Chap 5-11, 5-12, and Chap 9-2. 5. Install a W14-2a (No Outlet) plaque beneath the street name signs along Alvernon Way. 6. Provide a 'RIGHT LANE' (R3-5F) supplemental plaque under the new (R3-5R) along Alvernon Way. 7. Place the PIA and CDRC Case number on the cover sheet. 8. Add the following Pavement Marking/Striping General Notes to the Plans: 'ALL NON-SIGNALIZED INTERSECTION STREET NAMES MUST HAVE E-W BLOCK NUMBER ADDRESSES FOR E-W ROADWAYS AND N-S BLOCK NUMBER ADDRESSES FOR N-S ROADWAYS.'
