| 08/29/2008 | ROBERT SHERRY | PLUMBING-COMMERCIAL | REVIEW | Denied | 1. Revise the site drawing to show the location of the reduced pressure backflow preventer assembly. Reference: Section 103.2.3, UPC 2006. 2. Revise the site drawing to show the route of the medium pressure natural gas piping with its easement. Reference: Section 103.2.3, UPC 2006. 3. Show how the water heater is being connected to the building structure and provide calculations to show that the building structure is not being adversely affected. Reference: Sections 310.0 and 314.5, UPC 2006. 4. Clarify the total load and developed length of piping for the gas meter. The note on detail B/P1.0 calls out a total load of 1,482 CFH at 76 feet but the diagram shows connected load of 150 CFH at 43 feet. Further, the gas meter load schedule on sheet P1.0 calls out a load of 365 CFH and detail 2/P1.0 shows a developed length of less than 15 feet. 5. Clarify the pipe sizes used for the water distribution system. Why is the pipe size increased from 1-1/4" to 1-1/2" after the pipe enters the building? Reference: Section 103.2.3, UPC 2006. 6. Clarify the hot water distribution system; detail 204/P2.0 shows a recirculating hot water system but neither the plumbing plan nor the water isometric show a recirculating system. Reference: Section 103.2.3, UPC 2006. 7. Provide calculations to show that combining the T&P relief with the pan drain of the water heater complies with Sections 508.4 and 608.5, UPC 2006. 8. Provide specifications for the proposed sand/oil interceptor. Show that the interceptor complies with the requirements of both 1016.0 and 1017.0, UPC 2006. Reference: Section 103.2.3, UPC 2006. 9. Site plan keynote #13 calls for a reclaimed water circul. [sic] system. Provide connection details and listing information. Reference: Section 103.2.3, UPC 2006. |

The information shall, as a minimum, include U-factors of the envelope systems and fenestration components, along with the R-values of the insulation. Reference: Sections 101.4 and 104.2, International Energy Conservation Code 2006. 2. Show how the fan coils and unit heaters are being connected to the building structure and provide calculations to show that the building structure is not being adversely affected. Reference: Section 302.1, IMC 2006. 3. Revise the ventilation calculations to take into account the different occupancy loads in the project space. Reference: Sections 403.3 and 403.3.2, IMC 2006. |
| 09/03/2008 | LINDA BUCZYNSKI | ELECTRICAL-COMMERCIAL | REVIEW | Denied | TRANSMIT ORIGINAL DRAWINGS WITH NEXT SUBMITTAL. PLEASE CALL AT 520.837.4907 OR EMAIL AT Linda.Buczynski@tucsonaz.gov IF YOU CARE TO DISCUSS. 1. Provide electrical power for WH-1. Please coordinate with the Plumbing plans. 2. Provide electrical power for the 3-phase, 75 HP Steam Cleaner. Reference Sheet P2.1, Plumbing Fixtures. 3. Account for the electrical load for the TTB on Ckt TM-24. 4. Please provide cut sheets for the equipment referred to as "BIG ASS FAN" on Sheet A4.0. We need to be clear with respect to the electrical requirements and weight. 5. Provide mounting information for "Big Ass Fan", and coordinate with Sturctural Plans Examiner and NEC 314.27 (D), 422.18, and 422.20. 6. Please correct electrical load for Phase B on Sub-Feed to Pnl TL, as allocated on Ckt 40 of TM to read, "10466", not 9266. Update all effected calculations. 7. Four Fixtures "A" at 400 VA each, at 125% would be a minimum of 2000VA on Ckts TL-1, TL-3, and TL-5, before the addition of the exit and egress lighting. Please check all lighting circuits, and re-evaluate panel capacity. 8. Please modify the #6 GND in the run between the gutter and the CT Can per NEC Table 250.66, to read, "#4." 9. The 65/10K series rating on Panels TM and TL would require a 3-tiered system, not available commercially. |
