SUMMARY: An additional copy of the SWPP Report with 3 copies of the SWPP Plan exhibits were received 5AUG08 and reviewed by Development Services Department Engineering. Development Services Department Engineering has reviewed the received items and recommends approval for grading permit issuance with conditions for the SWPPP grading permit.

SWPPP GRADING PERMIT CONDITIONS:
The following 16 conditions apply to permit T08BU01245:
1) Call for SWPPP Pre-construction meeting and final SWPPP inspections. For a DSD Engineering SWPPP Inspection, call IVR (740-6970), or contact DSD Engineering at 837-4888, or schedule SWPPP inspections online at: http://www.ci.tucson.az.us/dsd/Online_Services/Online_Permits/online_permits.html
2) This SWPP Grading Permit and SWPPP Report are associated with Los Reales Landfill D07-0037 Road Alignment as shown on the approved PIA Plan T07PI00028.
3) For SWPPP inspection purposes, please post the "AZPDES - Posting Requirements" green sheet at construction entrance of the site at beginning of construction activities and maintain this posted document throughout project construction.
4) A copy of NOI, Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP), PIA Plan and Grading Permit shall be kept at site at all times, until final approval.
5) Signatures for the operators on Certification Statements must be on the site copy of the Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) at, or before, commencement of construction.
6) Designated concrete washout locations are required and shall not be located in or near the borrow area or future basin areas. Location of temporary material or vehicle staging / stockpile area shall be placed within grading limits and not located in any area or future basin areas.
7) If PIA grading construction is expected to last longer than the expiration date of the SWPPP grading permit, contact DSD to renew/extend the SWPPP Grading Permit. If Final SWPPP Inspection has not been completed before the SWPPP Grading Permit expires, and the permit has not been renewed, additional fees and reviews may be required.
8) Dust control methods such as water truck shall be provided, as well as daily sweeping of the streets.
9) Contact Permits and Codes (791-5100) for any questions regarding any right-of-way permit requirements.
10) Temporary erosion/stormwater controls may be field adjusted with discussions with operators and engineer of record as necessary within disturbance limits for this project.
11) SWPPP controls shall be checked daily during monsoons and after storm events where the controls are installed along sections of the road that cross the jurisdictional floodplain. These areas may need to be removed / relocated prior to storm events. Additional SWPPP controls may be needed along proposed roadway crossing the floodplain.
12) There shall be no storage of materials or vehicles within the borrow area at any time.
13) There shall be no vehicle storage, material storage, vehicular traffic, or other loading or other activities within the borrow area except for excavation for borrow.
14) There shall be no disturbance outside of approved disturbance/grading limits, and no grading shall begin until all required SWPPP controls are installed.
15) Prior to request for final SWPPP inspection approval, all permanent erosion control improvements shall be installed and accepted by the City including rock / established revegetation for all disturbed areas if not improved as per approved plan.
16) Receiving waters is the Rodeo Wash. See also Floodplain Use Permit T08OT00877.
