| 07/19/2007 | LINDA BUCZYNSKI | ELECTRICAL-COMMERCIAL | REVIEW | Denied | TRANSMIT ORIGINAL DRAWINGS WITH NEXT SUBMITTAL. PLEASE CALL AT 791-5550 X1106 OR EMAIL AT Linda.Buczynski@tucsonaz.gov IF YOU CARE TO DISCUSS. 1. Revise the font size used on the drawings to a minimum of 1/8-inch (all upper case). Reference Section 302.3, Uniform Administrative Code, 1997. REFERENCE SHEET E6.3, E6.4, AND PREVIOUS SUBMITTAL. 2. CU-2 may not be considered as Non-Coincident load with AC-2, because with CU-2 running a 20.2A Compressor and a 1.2A Condenser, along with the ¾ HP Fan Coil (7.6A), the total current would be 29.3A. AC-2, on the other hand, would draw 18.3A for the heater and 7.6A, for the Fan Coil, total 25.9A. Thus CU-2 is the worst case. Please double check all Non-coincidental loads as applicable. 3. AC-9 and AC-12 are MOCP 30 on the mechanical schedule. Circuit breakers are rated for 40A. 4. Provide cut sheets for all exterior lighting fixtures. Plans Examiner to verify full cutoff lighting distribution and listing information. 5. Please double-check mean lumens for Fixture SA. 6. Total mean lumens for Fixture SC6E appears to be 6600, not 3300. 7. Please note that full cutoff lighting fixtures located under canopies, overhangs, or roof eaves shall not be counted in determining light total output. Reference Tucson Lighting Code 5.1.1 Paragraph 3. 8. Please put the following note on the plans: "Special Inspection is needed per Section 16 of the Tucson Lighting Code." 9. For all poles greater than 20' in height, submit detail and calculations for the pole and foundation, sealed by a Registered Structural Engineer. COMMENT MADE ON FIRST SUBMITTAL. DID NOT SEE CALCULATIONS. DID NOT SEE POLE DETAIL(S). FOR POLES AND POSTS 20' OR LESS, ELECTRICAL NEED ONLY PROVIDE A DETAIL OF POLE AND FOUNDATION. 10. Show the required lights, receptacle, and switch required by NEC 620.24 and Ckts L1A-9 and L1A-11. Detail 4 Sheet E1.6b shows some lights and refers to Detail 1 Sheet E4.3 There is no Sheet E4.3. 11. Please put the lighting and receptacle loads in Room 253 on a dedicated, separate branch circuit. Reference NEC 620.23. COMMENT MADE ON FIRST SUBMITTAL. RECEPTACLES ARE ON CKT L2A-14 AND LIGHTS ARE ON L2A-8. |

| 07/31/2007 | ROBERT SHERRY | MECHANICAL-COMMERCIAL | REVIEW | Denied | 1. Provide energy code compliance calculations for the building envelope. (The mechanical energy code calculations have been received.) Reference Section 101.4, International Energy Conservation Code 2003. 2. The minimum insulation for ducts located in unconditioned spaces within the building envelope is R-5 (installed). There is no exception for short lengths of duct. R3.3 insulation for the runout ducts is unacceptable unless the temperature difference between the interior and the exterior of the duct is less than 15 degrees Fahrenheit. Reference Section 803.2.8, IECC 2003. 3. Revise the sizes of the common condensate drain pipes for AC units 7, 8, 11, and 12 per Section 307.2.1.1, IMC 2003 as amended by the City of Tucson. 4. The design of the terminal louvers for the dryer exhaust ducts from room 251 do not comply with the requirements of Section 504.4, IMC 2003 and do not appear to be listed for the proposed application. 5. An approved appeal to the building official for not installing a hood over the proposed convection oven in the prep area will be required before these mechanical drawings can be approved. |
