| 01/24/2007 | ROBERT SHERRY | MECHANICAL-COMMERCIAL | REVIEW | Denied | 1. Second request. Provide manufacturer's equipment data along with refrigerant quantities for the air-cooled condensing units. Reference Sections 106.3.1, 301.6, and 1104, IMC 2003. 2. Without the equipment weights, the support details for the new air-cooled condensing units cannot be evaluated. Reference Sections 106.3.1 and 302.1, IMC 2003. 3. Provide information to show that the termination of the condensate drains complies with Section 307.2.1, IMC 2003, as amended by the City of Tucson. 4. Provide calculations demonstrating adequate ventilation for the project. The ventilation system serving the data center shall have the design capacity to provide adequate ventilation for the maximum occupancy of the area. If Table 403.3 does not explicitly include an entry for the area in question, an entry that closely resembles the area may be used or an approved engineering analysis may be submitted as part of the ventilation calculations. Reference Sections 401.2 and 403.3, IMC 2003. |

| 02/08/2007 | LINDA BUCZYNSKI | ELECTRICAL-COMMERCIAL | REVIEW | Denied | TRANSMIT ORIGINAL DRAWINGS WITH NEXT SUBMITTAL. PLEASE CALL AT 791-5550 X1106 OR EMAIL AT Linda.Buczynski@tucsonaz.gov IF YOU CARE TO DISCUSS. 1. Circuit B-5 is used for both Rooftop Receptacles and Lighting. Not all loads are counted on panel schedule. 2. Electrical Plans Examiner will evaluate overload and Ground Fault and Short Circuit Protection for the Condensing Unit after Mechanical Comment #2 has been resolved. 3. Please note that the 2003 IECC only allows for 1.0 W/SF for Office Buildings. Addendum g to ASHRAE 90.1-2001 allows 1.0 W/SF. 4. Provide a Disconnecting Means for AC1, AC2, and AC3. 5. Secondary conductors do not meet the requirements of NEC 240.21 (C) (4) (2). Note that there are no provisions allowing the rounding up to the next standard overcurrent protective device size. 6. City of Tucson does not allow the Up-Over-Down method of attenuating fault current for panels. Panel B will need to be fully rated. 7. If the existing lateral to the existing 800A pullbox consists of service entrance conductors, the #6 GND in the run from the pullbox to the meter, and from the meter to the disconnect is redundant. Please remove. Reference NEC 250.24 (B). 8. If service entrance conductors in the runs above consist of 3/0 conductors, the Grounding Electrode Conductor is sized at #2, not #6. Reference NEC Table 250.66. If (2) sets of 500 KCMIL, then the GEC shall be 2/0. If they are (2) 600 MCM as indicated by the fault calculations, then the GEC is 3/0. 9. Please specify the transition from (2) sets of either 500MCM or 600 MCM to (1) set of 3/0 in the Existing 800A pullbox. |
