10/25/2006 | LINDA BUCZYNSKI | ELECTRICAL-COMMERCIAL | REVIEW | Denied | TRANSMIT ORIGINAL DRAWINGS WITH NEXT SUBMITTAL. PLEASE CALL AT 791-5550 X1106 OR EMAIL AT Linda.Buczynski@tucsonaz.gov IF YOU CARE TO DISCUSS. 1. Please put the outdoor lighting code compliance calculations on the plans, as required by Section 8 of the Tucson Lighting Code. It appears that the following corrections are in order: 6 Fixtures S on Sheet E S01, not 5 (there is one on the SE corner of the property); 11 Fixtures P, not 8 (3 on Sheet E201, 8 on Sheet E202); and, a Fixture S1 (Sheet E201 Revision 1). 2. Reworked Service Load Calculations appear to total over 1300A, not 1189A, overloading the Service Entrance Switchgear and Service Entrance Conductors. Demand factor not accepted for Electric Ranges: there is no NEC Table 220.10, and Table 220.19 applies to household ranges, whereas these are grouped in a single kitchen. Plans Examiner counted 23 KVA of Kitchen Equipment, and another 23 KVA for the ranges, after applying the 65% demand factor for non-dwelling kitchen equipment. Demand factor not accepted for Dryers: NEC Table 220.18 applies to household dryers. Loads not in any other category were added to the mechanical with unity demand factor and appeared to total 203 KVA. 3. Reworked Panel 2D load calculations, which total 431A on Phase A and 425A on Phase B, overload the panel, feeder, and overcurrent protective device. |
