This letter reflects comments to be addressed. In order to facilitate a shorter back check time, we request that you please provide revised plans and calculations, highlighting any changes, along with a written response to each of the noted items indicating action taken. General Requirements 1. All corrections and revisions shall be made on the original tracings and two new sets of prints or (1) sepia and (1) blue line shall be returned. 2. Pen or pencil corrections on final prints will not be acceptable. To avoid delays ensure that corrections have been made, are complete and have been coordinated on all-applicable details and notes. Floor Plans 1. Note and specify that shower enclosures shall have a minimum finished interior area of 1,024 square inches and shall be capable of encompassing a minimum 30" circle per 1994 UPC SEC. 410.0. All glass enclosures shall be tempered. 2. Show that each water closet is located in a clear space not less than 30" wide and has a clear space in front not less than 21" per figure R307.2. Structural Plans 1. Note on the drawings the allowable soil bearing pressure used in the design of the footings, or state that the assumed value of 1500 PSF is being used per table R401.4.1 2. Detail gable end bracing and it's connections to structure. 3. Firewall must extend to the bottom of the roof deck. Truss is not considered a rated structure. Party wall with 5/8" type 'X' should extend to the roof deck. 4. Justify Beams B-1 and B-2. B-1 has a point load from T1 that should be included in analysis. 5. Detail connection from trusses to B-1 and B-2. 6. Trusses T1, T4, T5, T7, T8, T9, T10, T11, T12 and T13 all require 5.5" of bearing. How will B-1 and B-2 provide this? Clarify. Plumbing Plan 1. Note 6, page P1 - 72" rather than 70". 2. Provide cleanout at kitchen sink. MODEL ENERGY CODE: 1. Call out on the plan the "R" values of insulation. Outdoor Lighting Code 1. Show compliance with City of Tucson Outdoor Lighting Code (www.ci.tucson.az.us/dsd/Codes___Ordinances/Tucson_Lighting_Code.pdf). 2. Provide cut sheets of chosen lights.
