11/16/2004 Doug Williams ENGINEERING REVIEW Denied SUBJECT: Drainage Report, Site, Grading, and Stormwater Pollution Prevention plan review
DATE: 16 November 2004
ACTIVITY NUMBERS: T04CM03716/T04BU02032
T15S, R13E, Section 15

Engineering Division has reviewed the Subject items. Approvals of the site and grading plans may not be recommended prior to provision of a minimum recommended setback from the retention/detention basins (ref. Previous drainage report comment # 2), and modifications to the proposed dumpster enclosure. The following comments must be addressed prior to Engineering Division approval:

SITE AND GRADING PLANS:
1. Please refer to previous "drainage report" comment #2 - this item must be addressed prior to recommendation for site and grading plan approvals: Discuss and provide recommendations for minimum setbacks from the retention basins for the proposed building, or provide additional geotechnical engineering recommendations - the soils report does not specifically address minimum setbacks, as required per Section14.2.6 of the Drainage Standards Manual (DS 10-02.0).
2. The 14' x 40' clear approach depicted does not allow for a solid waste vehicle to gain access to the point of origin depicted, nor does the proposed location appear to allow for minimum inside and outside turning radii of 36' and 50', respectively. Revise the enclosure angle to allow for direct access to the enclosure from the PAAL/driveway (approximately 30° rather than 45° may allow for such), or provide written approval from Environmental Services Department for the configuration depicted/proposed - preferably on the site plan (DS 2-02.2.1.32 & DS 6-01.4.0).

STORMWATER POLLUTION PREVENTION PLAN (SWPPP):
1. Please provide/include page 2 of 2 of the signed Notice of Intent (NOI) in each SWPPP text.
2. Delineate the total area to be disturbed on sheet C5.0 - including the protected material(s) storage area and washout basin areas. These areas should be included in the total area of disturbance calculated.
An over-the-counter approval may be coordinated with me if desired, upon completion/provision of the above items.
